Vairavan Subramanian, MD, is a native of Houston, TX. He received his Bachelor of Science in Biology, Cum Laude, from Yale University. He then completed his medical degree at Baylor College of Medicine in Houston, TX, while earning membership in the Alpha Omega Alpha honor society. Dr. Subramanian finished his internship and residency training at the world-renown Glickman Urological and Kidney Institute at Cleveland Clinic in Cleveland, OH, consistently ranked as the #1 Urology department in the United States.
He has been practicing in the Dallas/Ft. Worth area since 2011. He is knowledgeable in all areas of general urology with special interests in kidney stone treatment and prevention, kidney cancer, prostate disorders, and vasectomy.
Dr. Subramanian has published numerous articles in urology journals and was awarded Best Poster in Kidney Cancer at the American Urological Association meeting for his research. He has provided volunteer medical care for needy patients in India.
In his spare time he enjoys spending time with his wife and two children, traveling, watching sports and occasionally playing tennis.
