Hitham Tayoun, MD

Dr. Hitham Tayoun is American board certified in anatomic Pathology, Cytopathology and Laboratory Medicine. Dr. Tayoun grew up in Damascus, Syria, where he received his primary education and completed his Medical Degree at the Faculty of Medicine, University of Damascus. Dr. Tayoun moved to the United States the following year, where he completed his residency training at the University of Cincinnati; College of Medicine. He then completed a fellowship training in GU & Nephropathology at the Armed Forces Institute of Pathology (AFIP)/ Walter Reed Medical Center in Washington D.C., where he worked with Dr. F. K. Mostofi. He also pursued another fellowship training at SUNY Medical Center in Upstate New York, where he obtained his 3rd American Board Certification in Cytopathology. Dr. Tayoun has practiced GU Pathology for over 12 years and currently resides in Dallas, Texas. Dr. Tayoun is known for his love of photography, music, arts and traveling. He also has a great personal interest and passion for archaeology, mythology and origins of various religions of the ancient world civilizations.
