S. Clint McFerren, M.D.
Board-Certified Urologist
Dr. McFerren received both his undergraduate degree (B.S. biological sciences) and medical degree (M.D.) from Louisiana State University. After the conclusion of medical school, he completed his surgical internship and urology residency at the University of New Mexico Health Sciences Center, the state’s only tertiary care, level 1 trauma center.
Dr. McFerren is well trained in all aspects of general urology with a particular interest in the use of minimally invasive surgery for both benign and malignant urologic conditions. He utilizes the DaVinci robotic system for the surgical treatment of several conditions including prostate cancer, kidney cancer and ureteral stricture disease. He has a particular interest in urethral reconstruction using oral mucosal substitution, as well as the use of prosthetics for erectile dysfunction and urinary incontinence.
Dr. McFerren is originally from Louisiana, but his wife Lauren is from Richardson TX. He is an avid sports fan of the LSU Tigers and enjoys traveling, golf, hiking, backpacking/camping, and skiing. He has an interest in international medical work, having traveled to Central Asia, Peru and Brazil.
Dr. McFerren holds himself to the highest standard of patient care and is committed to using the latest research and surgical techniques to provide this. He is actively accepting new patients.
