Frequent urination can be a sign or symptom of one or more of the following:

  • Urinary tract infection

  • STDs - herpes, chlamydia and gonorrhea

  • Pregnancy

  • Menopause can cause variations in the vagina

  • Multiple pregnancy can lead to failure to empty the bladder and reduced bladder support

  • Stress

  • Caffeinated beverages or large amount of water consumption

  • Small bladder

  • Stroke or nerve trouble that control the urinary system

  • Overactive thyroid gland

  • Diabetes

  • Alcohol consumption

  • High blood pressure or other heart condition medications such as water pills

  • Kidney disease
